"Bauhaus-Frauen" - Opening at Kunsthalle Erfurt next week!

If you are in Erfurt, please join us for the opening of “Bauhaus-Frauen” at Kunsthalle Erfurt on Thursday, April 18th at 6pm. I am going to show four sculptures: two ceramic pieces from 2007, my first paper wall sculpture “Diva” from 2011 AND: a brand new paper wall sculpture . Please see the previous post for a sneak preview. I will be present and hope to see you there!

Busy with new work...

In the past week I have been very busy working on new paper cut objects. I am now using much thicker paper . This allows me to get bigger but it also makes cutting a lot harder. Here is a sneak preview of the piece I made for the upcoming show “Bauhaus-Frauen” at Kunsthalle Erfurt. (For detail on the show see next post.) I am still playing around with the hanging… so many options….

New Studio finished soon

My new studio in Menlo Park, 45 min south of San Francisco will be ready this spring. So after all the time of moving and settling down here in the Silicon Valley I am very much looking forward to start working in my new studio soon. I am also planning all sorts of other activities there  - like a creative meetup with like minded souls, my private artist-in-residency and of course giving classes. More news on that later.
